“A Look Inside the World of Equine Therapy with Kassandra Johnson“
For those in the equine industry, proper care and maintenance for horses is of the utmost importance. And for Kassandra, owner of “All in One Equine”, this means providing a range of services including equine dental, chiropractic, Pulse PEMF therapy and even some levels of Emmetts Therapy. With a passion for helping horses reach their peak performance, Kassandra has built a successful business that continues to grow and evolve. We sat down with Kassandra to learn more about their journey, goals, and inspirations.
Q1: Tell me about yourself.
Kassandra: “I have a business covering equine dental, chiropractic, Pulse PEMF Therapy and have started a few levels in Emmetts Therapy. I basically work all the time; I have a few horses of my own and when I have time to work on them, I do love going to the odd camp draft. I didn’t come from a horse background but always loved horses, so I chased that pretty fiercely to become what I am today. I love a good Australian catch up and an afternoon beer or two after a day of work is done. I guess I’ve done a lot of things so far in life, but I still feel like I have so much more to learn, do and see.”
Q2: When and why did you start your business?
Kassandra: “I started dentistry almost 7 years ago and the spinal manipulation and PEMF Therapy almost 4 years ago. I’ve always had a love and passion for animals since I was a kid. I’ve pursued a life that has surrounded me with animals from a young age, which eventually lead to me having several horses of my own. Being a horse owner, I understood what horses needed to perform at the best of their ability, that’s when my fascination for Dentistry and Chiropractic work started. I wanted to be the one able to help them but also help them in more than just one way, I wanted the whole picture.”
Q3: What are your business goals?
Kassandra: “My main goal every day is just to help as many horses as I can, but ultimately I’d love to open my own vet clinic/rehab facility. I think that dream is a little way off yet, but I’m a big believer in that we can be whatever we want to be as long as we want it enough, so who knows.”
Q4: What made you choose to start a business in this industry?
Kassandra: “Mainly my need to want to help horses and help owners reach peak performance with their horses.”
Q5: What is your greatest achievement?
Kassandra: “I think for me any client that messages me and says what a difference they see in their horse/s is always my greatest achievement far more than any personal achievements I’ve made in life. My business is so important to me, so those thing’s definitely take the cake.”
Q6: Who inspires you (alive or not) and why?
Kassandra: “I have a lot of people at the dentistry academy I went through in America that inspire me still to this day to be better than what I am, and it is true, we never stop learning. I think there are too many to name. I have a really good friend who I went through dentistry school with and she has always inspired me to aim high, chase my dreams and basically that nothing is out of reach, but also to be a better person too. Also, my mother inspires me and is probably my biggest supporter.
Q7: How do you personally define business success? Is it money? Freedom? Influence? Creative expression and innovation? Or something else?
Kassandra: “Business success for me is working on client’s horses and receiving positive feedback of what a difference I’ve made to their horses and to then be recommended by my current clients to new and prospective customers. Success for me is other people seeing my work as successful, I guess. All the other things don’t really matter to me, only happy horses and clients do it for me. “
