Lainie Bracher Towner

Owner – Equine Angles

Meet Lainie, an equestrian and business owner from the stunning Byron Shire. Lainie relocated there in 2014 after feeling a called to live there for more than 25 years. Uncertain of her future plans, she moved to the Shire from her high-level media position. There was a moment in time both personally and professionally that allowed her to ‘escape’ from Sydney into her dream life. There, she met the man who would later become her husband, and they fell in love. After that, she never turned back. Lainie’s love for horses was renewed when she and her husband purchased property in the Shire.

This quickly led her in studying Equine Assisted Learning programs. Lainie started her business, Equine Angels, in 2019 after becoming a facilitator of the award-winning program “Horses Helping Humans”. She began the business as she wanted to work with horses and to help people. She discovered Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) and was amazed at how peaceful and present it made her feel and how time literally stood still when she was around them. She wanted to share that feeling with others and thus her business was born. In addition to her horse world, she also works in real estate as a sales agent which she also enjoys as she gets to meet amazing people and see some pretty spectacular homes.

Her business goals are to work full-time in the horse world across a number of genres, such as Equine Assisted Learning, running her own programs, such as Start Your Own Horse and the Sunset Sessions, and also run and manage her online shop which is launching in the first half of this year.

Her greatest achievement is co-starting her own colt, securing the license/facilitation of Horses Helping Humans, and developing the Start Your Own Horse program. She finds inspiration in her equine business partner Hannah Darcy who she finds to be one of the most gifted horse persons she’s ever met.

To Lainie, business success is freedom. Freedom to live, and if she incorporates horses with that, the freedom to just hang out with them. She believes it’s one of the greatest signs of success.
